You already know your town.
Get paid to open doors in it.

GroundCrew pays outgoing locals to walk into local businesses and work trade show floors, read the room, and book meetings for companies trying to sell to them. Paid for every visit, a bonus for every meeting that happens, and mileage covered.

No cold-call scripts. No closing. Just you, in the room, finding the opening.

You might be crew if…

This isn't for everyone. It might be for you.

We're not hiring closers or reading you a script. We're looking for the person in the room everyone ends up talking to.

✓

You'll ask the third question when it gets a little awkward.

The good stuff never comes out on the first answer. The best crew keep going — one more friendly question past the point most people would back off — and walk out knowing what nobody else could.

✓

You can talk to anyone

Front desk, foreman, or owner — you're comfortable striking up a conversation cold and keeping it going.

✓

You know your area

You know the businesses, the shortcuts, and how people around here actually like to be approached.

✓

You get a kick out of finding an opening

Spotting an opportunity nobody else saw is genuinely fun for you — not a chore.

✓

You've got contacts (a plus, not a must)

Existing business relationships in the area help, but a great attitude and reliable follow-through matter more.

✓

You have reliable transportation

The work is on the ground and on the move. You need a dependable way to get from account to account.

✓

You do what you say you'll do

You show up, log what you found, and follow through. People — and clients — can count on you.

The work, straight

What you'll actually do — and what you won't.

Simple work that rewards people skills over sales experience. You apply for an area near you; if the company picks you, its accounts are yours for 72 hours. Work mornings, afternoons, or around another job.

You will

Visit local businesses in person

Walk in, introduce yourself, and have a real conversation with the people who run the place.

You will

Gather ground truth

Find out who really decides, what they're running, and where there's an opening — then log it in the app.

You will

Open the door

Make a warm introduction and set up a meeting between the business and the company you're repping.

You won't

Pitch or close deals

You're not selling anything or quoting prices. The company's own team takes it from the meeting. Your job is the intro.

You never walk in cold.

Getting paid

Paid for every visit. More when the door opens.

Every campaign shows its rates before you apply, and your dashboard tracks every dollar from pending to paid.

Visit pay

A fixed fee for every visit

Check in with a photo, talk to whoever runs the place, and file your report with what you found. Each completed visit pays a flat fee, whether or not a meeting comes out of it.

Earned when you file the report
Meeting bonus

A bonus for every attended meeting

Book a meeting between a decision-maker and the company you're repping. Once the company confirms it happened, the bonus is yours on top of the visit pay.

Earned when the meeting is attended
Mileage

70¢ a mile between stops

Mileage starts at your first stop of the day (a business, or the FedEx where you pick up supplies) and ends at your last. The app tracks it for you as you check in.

Paid with your visit pay · driving from home isn't counted
Good questions

Before you apply.

Do I need sales experience?
No. You need to be someone people naturally open up to. If you can strike up a conversation with anyone and you're not afraid to ask one more question, you have the main thing we're looking for.
Do I have to sell or close deals?
No. You gather intel and make introductions. You never quote prices or close — the company's own team handles that after you set the meeting.
When and how do I get paid?
You get a fixed fee for every visit you report on, a bonus for every meeting you book that actually happens, and 70¢ a mile from your first stop of the day to your last. At trade shows, parking and entry fees are reimbursed at cost when you log the receipt. Rates are set per campaign and shown before you apply. You need a W-9 on file to be paid (you fill it in right in the app), and your dashboard tracks everything from pending to paid.
How much do reps make?
On average, reps earn $24 to $36 an hour by visiting 2 to 3 accounts an hour. Meeting bonuses and mileage are paid on top of that.
What do I need to get started?
Reliable transportation, a phone to log your work, a photo, your LinkedIn profile or résumé, and a valid photo ID for a short video call. Existing contacts in the local trades are a plus.
How many hours will I work?
That's up to you. Apply for as many or as few areas as you can handle. When you're selected for one, you have 72 hours to visit its accounts, at whatever times suit you.
Can this turn into steady work?
For a lot of crew it's flexible money on the side. Crew who build a track record of visits and attended meetings get invited to more campaigns, and that can grow into steady, ongoing work.
Why the video call?
Because the job is a conversation, not a form, and because companies trust us to send people we've actually met. A short call lets us meet you and verify your ID.
